STOP “0×000000c5” Error Message in Windows XP

STOP error message is generally a 8-digit hexadecimal number which occurs when a Windows NT- based system encounters a serious problem related to any hardware or software issues. The STOP error message makes the system unbootable and the hard drive data becomes inaccessible. In such situations, you can use a recent and valid backup to restore your lost data.

Take a practical example- you have installed NEROv6.3.1.17 in your Windows XP based computer, and during its use or just after the course of action, you get the below error message:

"Stop Error: 0*000000C5 (parameter1, Parameter2, Parameter3, Parameter4) Beginning Dump of Physical Memory!"

The above "STOP" error message restricts the system to boot and also causes the inaccessibility of hard drive data. Additionally, you come across with the same error message, each and every time you try to boot your system.

Reason of this behavior:

Following are the causes of the above error message:

  • Corruption of system pool.
  • Damaged device drivers.

How to solve this issue?

This issue can be rectified in following manner:

  • Try to uninstall NERO v6.3.1.17 from your computer system.
  • Use the latest service pack of Windows XP operating system.
  • Re-install Windows XP operating system.

When you perform a clean re-install of the Windows XP operating system, all the previously stored data in the hard disk gets deleted. So before re-installing your operating system, make sure that you have a complete and updated backup for your data.

Are you having problems forwarding emails in Outlook?

When you try forwarding e-mails, lots of times you may receive error messages “Outlook errors”, “Invalid XML errors”, etc. These errors mean that there is some problem with the performance of Microsoft Outlook.

In some cases these error messages may display when there are corrupt attachments with the e-mail. To fix this, you will have to access the Outlook’s inbox repair tool to scan the corrupt files.

Steps to follow to fix errors when you cannot forward an e-mail

To fix this, you can follow the below steps:
  1. Reboot the system and launch MS Outlook. Now, try forwarding e-mail again. In some cases, just a reboot of the system can fix temporary errors that MS Outlook may have.
  2. Try sending the same e-mail to a different contact person. Make sure that the e-mail you are sending does not have any attachment. If you receive the same error while sending the e-mail, then it’s sure that you have problems with Outlook and not with the particular e-mail. In this case you have to run the Outlook repair tool.
  3. Close Outlook in your system.
  4. Now, go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12. It is located in the C drive of your computer.
  5. In order to launch the Outlook repair tool, double click on scanpst.exe file.
  6. Now to search for the Outlook.pst file. Select it. Normally, the file is located in the C drive of a computer in the following folder C:\Users\ (Your User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.
  7. To begin the scanning process, select Start.

With this process, the corrupt Outlook files that create problems while forwarding an e-mail will be detected and repaired automatically.
